The BlueRibbon Coalition is a national non-profit organization dedicated to protecting responsible recreational access to public lands and waters. We want to keep your land open for use, whether you recreate on a mountain bike, snowmobile, motorcycle, personal watercraft, ATV, four-wheel drive, horse, or your hiking boots. Today, the BlueRibbon Coalition is a respected national recreation group that represents over 10,000 individual members and 1,200 organization and business members, for a combined total of over 600,000 recreationists nationwide. MOTORSPORT FABRICATION SERVICES PROMOTES ACCESS AND RESPONSIBLE RECREATION
POCATELLO, ID (March 2)—The BlueRibbon Coalition is proud to report huge success in land use at the Griffin King of the Hammers (KOH) race. With two vehicles in the 2010 Griffin King of the Hammers race, Motorsport Fabrication Services (MFS) of Lincoln, California, may not have won the race, but they insured that wheeled motorized access won big. With a race-a-thon lead by MFS and BFGoodrich Tires driver Travis Carpenter in his 4405 "Land-use" race vehicle, MFS managed to raise nearly $20,000 for various land-use organizations.

OBAMA SECRET PLAN FOR MONUMENTS COMPELS CONGRESSIONAL ACTION
POCATELLO, ID (February 19) — The BlueRibbon Coalition, a national recreation access group, today asked Congress to pass legislation that mandates public involvement in any future Presidential National Monument designation. The Coalition says legislation is necessary in light of recently leaked secret plans for 13 million acres of new National Monuments in 11 western states.
The group's Executive Director, Greg Mumm, said, "The time for Congress to act is now. A sitting President should not be allowed to unilaterally reserve millions of acres without some public input and congressional oversight."

COALITION OPPOSES PLAN TO LOCK UP PUBLIC LANDS IN SOUTHWESTERN SOUTH DAKOTA
RAPID CITY, SD (February 3) — A controversial proposal from the South Dakota Wild Grasslands Coalition to lock up a large area of the Buffalo Gap National Grasslands (BGNG) has been met with stiff opposition from a broad group of stakeholders. Recreational users joined cattlemen, landowners, state legislators, and local county commissions in opposing the move. Senator Tim Johnson agreed to sponsor legislation that would put nearly 50,000 acres off limits to most uses, including casual OHV and mountain bike use.
